Understanding THC and the Overwhelming High
Tetrahydrocannabinol (THC), the main psychoactive compound in cannabis, interacts with the brain’s endocannabinoid system, producing effects like relaxation, euphoria, and heightened sensory perception. However, too much THC can lead to discomfort—causing anxiety, paranoia, or dizziness. Until now, there was no solution for this problem.
How Soft Landing Works
Soft Landing’s active ingredient has been used as a food additive for many years and has a long and well established safety profile. Everything in Soft Landing is on the FDA’s Generally Recognized as Safe List.
It works by binding to the CB2 receptors and the PPR gamma, counteracting the psychoactive effects of THC. The CB2 are the optimal receptors to target, because other products have targeted the CB1 receptors with poor results. Soft Landing counteracts the psychoactive effects of THC in the most effective, efficient, and safe way possible. An independent cannabis nurse conducted a focus group survey which found that 80% of participants found Soft Landing either effective or very effective.
Our Story
Soft Landing was founded by mother and son duo Alice Stone and Eli Stoloff. Alice, an entrepreneur with a passion for alternative healing, and Eli, a recent Cornell University graduate, came up with the idea when they were discussing stories they’d heard of young people overconsuming THC and going to the emergency room and being told there was nothing for them. The mother and son team decided that there had to be more of a solution than to just “drink water and wait it out” so they set out to find a better solution.
Their research led them to what became Soft Landing's active ingredient, which exists in certain plants. They sourced different plants, different varieties of those plants, weighing concentrations and taste profiles. After 18 months of tinkering with recipes and formulas on the kitchen counter, the final Soft Landing recipe was finalized.
From there, Alice and Eli recruited an independent cannabis nurse to conduct an arm’s length survey on effectiveness as well as an independent researcher, Dr. Oren Levy, to conduct a literature review on Soft Landing’s active ingredient. The effectiveness survey found that 80% of participants found Soft Landing as either effective or very effective. The literature review cites over 50 studies published in peer reviewed journals and concludes that Soft Landing’s active ingredient improves cognitive function, improves spatial memory, and has anxiolytic effects; effectively counteracting the psychoactive effects of THC.
After a long process, Alice and Eli finally found the solution to a problem that was previously unsolved, creating Soft Landing: The First Ever Reverse Edible.
